This experience allows friends / family to spend the last night at Camp 6 enjoying dinner and breakfast with competitors around the campfire and, then either joining the last Stage of the race and crossing the finish line together, or meeting at the finish line. This will allow them to get a real sense of what it feels like to take part in the race. The approximate schedule is below.
SCHEDULE
Day 1 – Thursday, 26 September 2024
- Arrive in Petra.
- Stay overnight at a hotel in Petra.
Day 2 – Friday, 27 September 2024
- Breakfast is provided at the hotel.
- 2pm: Meet the guide / driver and the other friends and family in the
hotel reception. - Travel to Camp 6 to join the race and meet up with the competitors.
- Enjoy an Expedition Foods meal with your friends / family for
dinner. - Overnight in Camp 6 in the friends / family tent(s).
NOTE - friends / family sleep in a separate tent to those taking part in
the race.
Day 3 – Saturday, 28 September 2024
- 7am: Expedition Foods breakfast with competitors.
- Approximately 9am: Stage 6 starts. Friends / family have the option to:
- Complete the Stage which is less than 20km / 13 miles; OR
- Travel by vehicle to the finish line to see your friend / family cross.
- Return to the hotel in Petra and stay overnight.
- Join the Awards Banquet.
Day 4 – Sunday, 29 September 2024
- Breakfast is provided at the hotel.
- You are ready to leave.
NOTE – you will need to arrange your travel or airport transfers to and from the host town.
