Drumback Ergonomic Task Chair combines the benefits of upholstered and mesh back chairs.The mesh/fabric is stretched – a bit like on a drum – across a polypropylene back rest. This gives users the ventilated comfort of a mesh back combined with the stability of a single-piece backrest shell.

Drumback Ergonomic Task Chair is neither an upholstered or a mesh back chair and combines the advantages of both basic forms in a “drum” concept with mesh stretched over a polypropylene back shell. Drumback uniquely combines the benefits of the cool comfort of a mesh back with the stability of a solid back chair. Martin Ballendat’s unique design also reduces the number of component parts required in the manufacturing process. The potential saving of several hundred tons of upholstery foam per year—without compromising on either sitting comfort or ergonomics.
